In light of these economic times I am considerably aware of my colleagues that have hit on hard times. It is undeniable that what has happened has hit each and every one of us. Many of my good friends who have been editing for years have recently been laid off, and many photographers have had to give up their studios in order to downsize. This being said, I feel that this sets the stage for a lot of creativity to come. With budgets being thinned, and an emphasis on still standing out, there is hope that a lot of creative expression (especially in the photographic field) has yet to occur, and will do so at a more grass roots level. I look forward to what the rest of the year brings, the perspectives people have to offer, and the possible artistic movements in the making.
