A New Look
I recently had to take my trusty point and shoot out to document an area for reference, and to my surprise my camera decided that it would try something new. Sure it’d take the picture alright, but with extra added flare! The resulting images looked a lot like film stills manipulated with filters, the kind of stuff I experimented with in college and never took much further. This old camera and it’s new twist can now be added to my Daylab and it’s collection of Polaroid transfers, something kept in the archive for it’s stylistic purposes and fun possibilities.

I recently went back to one of the abandoned locations I shot at, but did not complete. It’s a wonderful find, in that it’s a paper mill, and not like any of the other locations I’ve documented (hospitals, hotels, etc). The best part about having gone back, is that this time I was able to locate the paper press which took up an entire wing of the building. Here’s a pict I took with my iPhone of the gears. (Actual images will appear on my site shortly.)
